Song Feng Library is located in the northern mountainous area of Guangdong Province (about 200 kilometers from Guangzhou City, near Lianzhou City), converted from an ancestral house. Three years ago, we applied to the government to transform this ancestral house into a library, and received approval. Now, the renovation work is nearing completion.

Song Feng Library aims to promote excellent traditional Chinese culture, using books as a medium to pass on cultural heritage. The daily operation of the library will be managed by a monastic who possesses right understanding and views, delights in practicing the Bodhisattva path, loves the country, supports the party and government, and cares for the people and all beings. Besides ensuring the normal operation of the library and promoting traditional culture, we will also organize local volunteers to participate in charitable activities, such as caring for elderly people living alone and protecting wildlife, practicing the spirit of the Bodhisattva's compassion and generosity. Through these good deeds, we hope to set an example of "maintaining good thoughts, speaking kind words, and doing good deeds," while demonstrating monastics' joyful, bright, and selfless dedication in contemporary society.

We believe that there are countless unused old houses and ancestral houses across China. With proper guidance and support, many kind-hearted property owners might be willing to dedicate them for charitable purposes.
